Vaccination against H1N1 can begin on Monday
WILLEMSTAD — Curaçao disposes of 60.000 doses of vaccines against the New Influenza A H1N1 since two days. These will be distributed amongst family doctors so that they can start administering the vaccine this Monday to persons belonging to the high-risk group. This regards people running the risk of complications upon a possible H1N1-contamination.

KRALENDIJK — International treaties signed by the Netherlands, will not automatically apply to BES-Islands after the transition of Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius to a public body of the Netherlands.

ORANJESTAD/WILLEMSTAD — The subject tax legislation within the Kingdom had stood central during a seminar organized by the Dutch Ministry of Finances yesterday and today in the Renaissance Hotel on Aruba. The purpose of the gathering was to share ‘best practices’ within the Kingdom as much as possible and to strengthen each others positions and the mutual bonds in the fiscal field.

UTS and Aqualectra move to Amstel Terrain
WILLEMSTAD — Deputy Anthony Godett (Infrastructure, FOL) has confirmed that the head offices of Utility Company Aqualectra and Telecom Company UTS will move to the former terrain of the Antillean Brewery in due course. The moving and the construction of the new head offices became feasible after the Board of Governors had agreed with the transfer of the terrain in long lease to pension institute Vida Nova last Wednesday.

Air Comet at Hato

WILLEMSTAD — A refueling stop at the crack of dawn this morning at Hato announced the establishment of Air Comet on the island. The Spanish company, which flies to five large cities in South American and Havana, has been taken over by leasing company Air Transport Holdings. Arnold Leonora from Curacao manages the latter.
