Fukabo thanks the Police Corps of the Netherlands Caribbean for good teamwork that had led to all carnival parades leaving on time and steering things in the right direction. Fukabo also thanks the population for the support received. Partly due to the attention given by the press, Fukabo can look back on a successful carnival period. The police reports that the carnival weekend, which had attracted hundreds along the route, had passed off in a pleasant atmosphere. Police inspector Melvin Sint Jago in charge of the police deployment at the carnival events, reported that all events had passed off smoothly. “The population celebrated a fantastic feast without particular circumstances worthy of mention.” The Police Corps of Caribbean Netherlands thanks the population of Bonaire for a beautiful carnival feast 2012. Unfortunately, the police had to apprehend two people on Sunday because of public drunkenness. The men were released after sobering up at the police station. The police had also mediated with several minor brawls; around 5:15 PM, a patrol had been sent to a collision were some had suffered injuries. The vehicle had crashed into a lamppost on Kaminda Djabou and the driver had been sped off to the hospital by the ambulance. Fukabo, thanks for a splendid carnival.
