WILLEMSTAD — With the exception of one, government accountants bureau Soab completed and submitted all quick scans conducted at the government nv’s and institutions.

Interim-minister of Finance, José Jardim stated the aforementioned during the weekly press conference of the Council of Ministers last Thursday. Soab conducted quick scans at Aqualectra, Curoil, Refineria di Kòrsou, Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) and the Road Fund. The reports will be completed with legal advice whereupon the Council of Ministers is to take a final viewpoint on the state of affairs with the government companies. The reports will then be forwarded to the Parliament. The interim draft report of Aqualectra shows that the financial situation of the utility company is precarious. Deficits were also confirmed at the CTB. The capital position would drop further this year to a deficit of 4.8 million guilders.
